Benefit for Dr. Ohr helps fund scholarship in his honor


Celebrating the legacy of a man much loved by the community Dr. Joseph Ohr was the deputy corner for Mahoning County. He passed from pancreatic cancer in April. Today- his family and friends are remembering him with a benefit at The Brick House Tavern Proceeds will help fund a Forensic Sciences scholarship at YSU, in Doctor Ohr’s honor. KRISTEN OHR, WIFE: TEACHING WAS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HE WAS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT. HE ALWAYS LOVED HAVING STUDENTS AND INTERNS AT THE CORONER’S OFFICE AS WELL AS TEACHING AT YSU. SO IT’S REALLY A GOOD WAY TO REMEMBER HIM. The benefit runs until 11 tonight.
