Child Welfare Agencies Must Act Now To Improve Outcomes

[Music] We have for child welfare agencies, the imperative to act now, is really a couple of things: one is, if you look at the outcomes that we have in the U.S. today for child welfare agencies, we have five child children that die a day from abuse and neglect. We have four hundred and thirty thousand children that are in foster care. And we have four million reports of abuse and neglect yearly in the U.S. Those are not outcomes that we can be okay with. The time is now to figure out different ways to deliver services to better those outcomes. And second, with the new federal guidelines around moving from the sac West role to the CCOs role, it really opens up the opportunity. And it’s my point of view that we have an untapped potential and using innovation and technology and bringing those to bear with this unique opportunity, that we have new federal guidelines that allow us to be more innovative and more focused on outcomes. And how we do that – this is really up to each state, and for us to help each state figure that path out for themselves. [Music]
