City 101 – RWPD “Goes Pink” for October

Hi, Chief Roger Pohlman here with the Red Wing Police Department. This year, the men and women of the Red Wing Police
Department wanted to show our support to those battling breast cancer and those
survivors of breast cancer during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Members of the department purchased pink badges from their own funds and 10% of
the cost of the badges went to breast cancer research. The badge that officers are wearing are exact replicas of their original badges. They are metal, they will
contain the officers’ badge number and they are an official badge, they just
have a pink finish on them. You can join us in showing our support by going to the web page or the Police Department Facebook page and making a donation on
the breast cancer awareness link. Thank you and together we can help make a difference with breast cancer awareness and research.
