Frederick Barbarossa leads Germany in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. The red-bearded Holy Roman Emperor fought numerous wars to restore the Empire to its previous glory. He was a warrior to the end, dying on his way to join the Third Crusade. Barbarossa fought independent cities in his lifetime, and he’s still at it in Civilization VI. He provides an additional military policy slot for government, and gives his units a bonus in combat versus city-state units. Germany’s Free Imperial Cities bonus gives their cities one more district than the population limit would normally allow The Germans get a unique District: The Hansa. This Industrial Zone replacement gets bonus production if placed next to a Commercial hub, additional adjacent districts or resources. The U-boat is Germany’s Modern Era unique unit. It has a low production cost and gets a bonus fighting in deep ocean Germany’s production focus is its major strength, and lets it pursue almost any victory type.
