Civilization VI: Rise and Fall – First Look: Zulu

Shaka leads the Zulu in Civilization VI: Rise and Fall. One of military history’s greatest commanders, Shaka of the Zulu, returns to Civilization – and brings his Impi force with him. The Impi are the Zulu’s unique unit. These Pikeman replacements have an increased Flanking bonus, are less expensive than other combat units of the same era, have a low maintenance cost, and earn XP faster. The Zulu’s unique ability is “Isibongo.” Conquering a city with a unit will upgrade it into a Corps or Army. Also, cities with a garrisoned unit gain extra loyalty. The Zulu’s unique district is the Ikanda, a replacement for the Encampment. This district provides housing, and corps and armies are created much faster. Also, it allows corps and armies to be built outright. Shaka’s leader ability is “Amabutho.” Corps and Armies unlock sooner, and receive additional base Combat Strength. There is strength in numbers when playing as Shaka. Build plenty of Impi corps and armies, bolster their power by capturing enemy cities, and your domain will grow rapidly. Remember to keep a close eye on your War Weariness as your empire spreads – having enough Amenities will be of utmost importance. Will your Impi warriors swarm the world? How will you lead the Zulu in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Rise and Fall?

  1. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like the video and subscribe to the channel for more content.

Will you play as the Zulu in Civilization VI: Rise & Fall? Which feature is your favorite?

  2. He is now by far the BEST domination civ. The +5 combat strength to all corp units at all times ALONE makes him better than everyone else, let alone the flanking the early army corps. Mid and late game he is statistically better than anyone.

  4. Soo, the aggressive triumvirate, a.k.a. Alexander, Gengis Khan, and Shaka, is together again! And of course, they still have their beloved god of war and nukes, Ghandi!

  5. BRUCE U is the Zulu's unique unit, he has increased attack speed with unparalleled agility, commonly referred by other Civs as a "super-soldier"

  6. Why do I feel like Shaka and Gilgamesh will be fast friends, like how Cyrus and Alexander are in almost every game I play.

  7. I feel like they only have african Civs to fill up africa. Personally i would pick Mali . I mean have the Zulus done except fight the British ?

  8. CIV! WHERE IS CANADA!?!? If you do put them in, make sure they can't declare war, otherwise that would be lore breaking…. OH! And give them 200% production if declared war upon. solid team right there

  9. I will love that you include “la Gran Colombia” (Venezuela, Colombia, Panamá and Ecuador) with Simón Bolívar as the Leader

  10. Many observers believe that the great firewall’s porousness is a feature, not a bug—that its architects see benefit in a barrier that does not completely alienate entrepreneurs, academics and foreign residents, but which most Chinese web-users will not have the energy, or the finances, to surmount. But doubts are growing about this interpretation. For the past year the government has been trying to make it harder to find, and use, VPNs—the most common form of firewall-leaping tool. Mr Wu’s punishment was clearly intended as a harsh warning to others in China not to try selling such services to ordinary consumers. Speculation is growing that even tougher curbs will be imposed in 2018.
Such fears may prove unwarranted, but the government has been doing little to allay them. Limiting the sale and use of VPNs is one aim of a “clean-up” of the internet industry that began last year and is supposed to be complete by the end of March. Several popular providers based in China have folded under government pressure. Those that remain are aimed at business users. Mr Wu’s sentencing followed that of another man accused of a similar offence who was jailed in March for nine months.
    Piling on the bricks
As well as closing down suppliers based in China, the government has made it more difficult for people in China to buy foreign VPN services. In July Apple dismayed civil-rights campaigners when it agreed to wipe VPN products from its Chinese app store. The company pulled down more than 600 of them. They are also disappearing from Android stores, though more slowly. Meanwhile most of the public places that used to offer unfiltered internet—such as hotels with many foreign guests—now provide the expurgated kind.

  11. Iwisa, meet Caesar; he's a commander
Who thinks he can dance with Conan of the Savanna,
But when I go hand-to-hand with you, I go hammer!
Knock off his dome, wrap it up in his own banner!
Send it back to Rome with a message from the Zulu!
If you battle Shaka, this what happen to you!
If you cross that Equator, you'll head straight into a massacre,
And get fucked by more than just Cleopatra in Africa!

  12. Can you please integrate G7 into the game which would be for civs which are in a golden age and those who do nut fall into the dark age. In addition the one in Golden age and have more points could be the G7 leader. How it is gonna work would be other civ leaders would summit a project (could be in trade, or military, or culture) and other civs which are members or the G7 vote for or against the project with most vote could be then approved or disapproved by the G7 summit leader

  13. The G7 leader would have the power to approve or disapprove a project depending on their personal agenda… However the G7 leader could be voted out of office if the other members vote against him for the misuse of power…..

  14. malisima civilizacion. con esta facilmente destruyes 2 o 3 civilizaciones pero ahi te quedas. no tiene nunca condicion de victoria.

  15. I have always longed for a Sweden civ lead by Charles XII. I would just love it if the crew behind civ6 would remember the Swedish Empire and allow us to form such a thing in the game.

  17. This civ is a monster. Playing it feels less like running a nation and more like running a blood-lusted horde. It's so powerful and fun.

  18. I don't really know why we can't have Hitler or Stalin or Mao as leaders, seeing as genocidal maniacs and mass murderers such as Shaka are ok xD Also his was not really a "civilization" to speak of, more like the raging barbarians mode 😀 just a local warlord with several years of murdering and pillaging his own people, who was done after a couple of battles with the British and was killed by his own brothers for his destructive ways. But what can you do when subsaharan Africa doesn't provide anything better than that xD He was responsible for more deaths in the native population in his few years rule than all of the colonial powers combined over 200 years. What an achievement.
