Colleen has done a great job, I think, in balancing a very successful career, giving back to her community, but also being a great mom and wife. So I admire that quality in Colleen, that she’s able to, even though sometimes people say you can’t have it all. Colleen has done a great job and truly been successful in all parts of her life whether it’s a career family or giving back to her community. So the person that I admire the most is actually two people and they’re my parents. My parents were married for 53 years and they raised five children. And of those five children, I was the only girl and the middle child. So my parents encouraged me to fend for myself, to be independent, and they also made me believe that not only could girls do everything boys could do, we could do it better. When I look at who I am and what really molded me, I see a lot of traits in me that my parents passed along to me: perseverance, hard work, honesty, dedication. I think you have to have the ability to laugh at yourself and find that silver lining in everything.
