Death, the underworld and the cycles of civilization – Iberian Paganism

hello everyone I hope you’re having a
wonderful day I’m certainly having one I’m here today to talk about death and the
underworld under the Iberian pagan perspective so this helps to explain
what happens after death what happens in the underworld which I believe there
is one if you ever get to come back and I think it also explains the cycles of
civilization so first of all I think that there is an underworld where Souls
go to maybe to rest and let’s say a person dies then she goes to the
underworld and she spent some time there not for
all eternity I don’t think so but she actual actually gets back and the gods
decide who is ready to come back and who isn’t well I kind of believe in this
sense of souls are kind of grown like crops like how you grow wheat they are
planted they grow mature and then they are collected they are harvested that’s
how I kind of think Souls work and that also explains the cycles of civilization
so at first the soul is created it’s really immature
let’s say and it is just in the beginning is really primal not advanced
at all and it will be sent to earth to mature but it wants mature all at once
it will every time it goes to the earth it will mature a bit die and it will be
fated in either to be discontinued I think some souls are really just and
proper and I think that’s what happens to bad people
evil people not all bad people are evil but let’s leave it
to another video I think when a person was evil completely immoral and did
unjustifiable things it will be thrown into the nothing it will be eliminated
from existence forever but if not the soul will normally usually just keep
maturing and what I mean by that is it gets sent back to the the overworld the
normal world the world of the living and there it will have new life experiences
but it’s already a little bit more matured soul so it won’t be as bad or
primal as the first soul as the first time it went unhurt it will be a little
bit more mature and so civilization will progress a little bit more with that
soul than it would with the last one with the last time it went on the living
world what I mean by that is the soul it is created it goes to the world it gets
better but not perfect you know it gets a little bit better
not a whole lot maybe maybe it gets and if that’s the case it will if that’s the
case I will talk about that a little bit more later but back to the point the
soul the person with possesses that soul dies the material body dies and the soul
gets sent back to the underworld and it’s a bit better than the news the new
souls the the new born so let’s say let’s say so
it’s matures a bit but it’s not fully mature yet it must go again and again
and again to the living world where it will get better and better and better
and in humanity in general if it has a lot of mature souls in living it will be
flourishing thriving and we can see these by numerous golden ages such as
the the Romans the Greeks the maybe even the Vikings the Buddhists the Hindus
many different peoples developing great civilizations but they all fell there
great civilizations all fell due to when a soul gets mature and mature and mature
it will be harvested and it will be sent to something like the Greek Elysium I
think it will then new souls get creative new immature cells will be get
sent to the world alongside the maturing ones the ones that are already almost
fully mature and society society will slowly but surely decay … the great civilization will then collapse and the cycle resets so
the the souls that made the civilization collapse will then get mature and mature
and mature and reincarnate in reincarnate in drink and night until
they bring back a new civilization maybe not the the place of the old one but in
a new place maybe and I think that’s shown with the civilization of with the
civilization no but the cycles of civilization that they complement my
theory and beliefs with the cycles of the cycles of civilization they
complement each other and let’s say for example you can see how normally
there are hard times where everything is rough everything is hard and then that
time you’ll create strong men strong humans strong people that will then
create good civilization and that civilization will make things easy it it
will be not as hard as before and people have it you will have it easier but that
people that inhabit this new civilization which is not as hard will
be a it will be then soft they will be not strong people they will be weak and
the weak perish they will perish alongside their civilization which
resets the whole thing which makes the world hard again rough really stuff to
live in now unless the civilization explained with alongside with so
maturing which is one of my belief now more in terms of mythology itself I
think what happens is we have when a person dies it will be faced with the
great river which cannot be the the reverse the water goddess will make
the water goddess Nabia will transport people alongside the river until they
get to the main hull which is where a Endovélico and Ategina the main
underworld God’s living they are comparable to Persephone and Hades a
Andovélico being like Hades and Ategina like Persephone the mythology itself is quite
interesting because there is a myth of Ategina gets killed by another god
and so she gets sent to the under role at him and when she goes there it’s when
false starts the autumn starts and nothing grows nothing can be grown on
land everything dies in innocence and when she gets back
everything flourishes again it’s it’s summer it’s it’s spring everything
springs back from the ground the plants grow the trees start producing fruits is
an incredible time and that’s also happens with I think Persephone and Hades
where they are Persephone is sent to the
underworld and they marry, Hades and Persephone marry in the underworld like
the Ategina and Endovélicol which I find quite interesting I think that it’s all
for today I covered the underworld I covered the maturing of a soul and how it
effects civilization and also covered be a little bit of mythology I think
that’s good for today well this was your host Carus Euracini I’m thankful for having you
