HAWAIIAN HUMANE SOCIETY TODAY AS IT WAS CELEBRATING ITS EXPANSION WITH A BLESSING. THE NEW CAT HOUSE HAS THREE LEVELS, ONE TO SEE OUT, ONE FOR QUIET TIME AND A PLACE TO EAT Pamela Burns, Hawaiian Humane Society President & CEO: “What’s important about all the new dog and cat areas that we have built here, is it gives animals the choice. Just as humans we like different kinds of BURNS SAYS THE HUMANE SOCIETY CAMPUS WAS INITIALLY BUILT IN 1942, WHEN IT WAS STERILIZING FEWER THAN ONE- THOUSAND ANIMALS PER YEAR. LAST YEAR IT STERILIZED MORE THAN 85-HUNDRED IN THE SAME SPACE… SO A LARGER VETERINARY CENTER, IT WILL HELP BETTER SERVE THE 25-THOUSAND
