Helena Humane Society photographer picks up honor


Lewis and Clark you mean Society volunteer and make stray animals look their best is being recognized with a national award photographer Chris Martin received the unsung hero award presented by team dog trainer victoria Stilwell and the PETCO Foundation is a $10,000 grant for the shelter each week Martin takes high quality portrait photographs of the animal animals who need to be adopted over seven years these volunteer more than a thousand animals thousand hours captured 3500 pictures of the animals and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon I love the shelter I love these people I love the opportunity as I said and I’m not kidding that they allow me to do this it’s probably one of the most gratifying things I do fact that he does spend his time taking such beautiful photographs of these dogs and getting people to come down here and getting these dogs out of the shelter adopted that’s why we were like this guy we love his dedication we want to recognize him Martin is one of only five people to earn that award this year
