Humane Society Adopt-a-Thon

The Coulee Region Humane Society is getting an early start on an annual event. The 11th annual ‘Adopt-a-Thon’ will begin tomorrow afternoon. The event usually runs from Friday through Sunday . but there are so many animals looking for a new home . the humane society decided to expand to a fourth day this year. Adoption fees for cats will be just 11 dollars during the event . and fees for small animals will be waived altogether. Adoption fees for dogs will stay the same. If you’re looking for a new pet . but don’t know exactly what you’re looking for . the Humane Society says they can help find the perfect match. So the main focus of the event is to really match adopters with their ideal pet, you know, according to their lifestyles. So if it’s someone who works full-time and is involved in a lot of extra activities then maybe a kitten or a puppy isn’t the best match and an older animal would be a better fit. The 11th annual Adopt-a-Thon starts tomorrow at 1 in the afternoon at the Coulee Region Humane Society in Onalaska. They’ll be open until 7 tomorrow night . and then run from 1 until 6 on Friday . Saturday . and Sunday. For more information on this year’s event . you can go to their website . coulee humane dot com.
