WE HAD JUST A FEW DOGS HERE AND THERE THAT JUST DID NOT MAKE IT. WE HAD A FEW THAT WERE IN A GREENHOUSE. UNFORTUNATLEY THEY GOT TRAPPED IN THERE. SO THEY PROBABLY DIED OF HEAT EXHAUSTION. HAD A COUPLE OTHERS LIKE THE LIVE ONES WHO ARE THERE THAT WE WERE ABLE TO RESCUE LUCKILY.” IN TOTAL THERE WERE 15 DOGS… RESCUERS SAY… ALL IN PENS WITH NO FOOD OR WATER… FOR A MONTH OR MORE… JILL CRAWSHAW – GRAINGER COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY “I CRIED. IT WAS HORRIBLE BUT TO SEE THEM NOW IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.” IT’S NOT CLEAR WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE OWNER… AND BECAUSE THERE’S AN INVESTIGATION… THE SHELTER SAYS THEY CAN’T SAY MUCH MORE… BUT THEY’RE THANKFUL FOR THEIR FOSTERS… MAKING ROOM… TO TAKE ON THE OTHER THREE DOGS… JILL CRAWSHAW – GRAINGER COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY “THEY ARE DOING GREAT.
