THE HUMANE SOCIETY SAYS WITHOUT
MORE MONEY IT CANNOT CONTINUE
AND WILL HAVE TO CLOSE ITS DOORS
UNLESS THE COMMUNITY STEPS UP
WITH DONATIONS. WAKISHA BAILEY HAS MORE FROM

CHANCE ANIMAL SHELTER OPERATED
BY HUMANE SOCIETY OF ST. LUCIE. THEY RECENTLY WENT ON SOCIAL
MEDIA AND MADE A PUBLIC PLEA
THAT THEY ARE NOT ONLY RUNNING
OUT OF MONEY, BUT ALSO OUT OF
TIME. THE SHELTER’S FINANCIAL
STATEMENTS WERE RELEASED EARLIER
THIS MONTH. IT SHOWED THE SHELTER WAS LOSING
TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. THE SHELTER POSTED ON SOCIAL
MEDIA, “WITHOUT MONEY, THE
SHELTER CANNOT PROVIDE FOOD,
FACILITIES OR MEDICINE FOR THE
ANIMALS.”

TAKES CARE OF THOSE ANIMALS THAT
