SAVANNAH USED THE POWER OF PINK TODAY — TO RAISE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH AND PREVENTION. THOSE WERE THE CHEERS OF SUPPORTERS AT TODAY’S MAKING STRIDES WALK. BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS WALKED NEXT TO HUNDREDS OF CAREGIVERS, FAMILY MEMBERS AND PEOPLE PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CAUSE. THE EVENT HAD SEVERAL FOOD VENDORS, LIVE MUSIC AND BOOTHS FOR THE KIDS. ALL PROCCEDS GO TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY — FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH. EMILY CAUSEY, ZTA SORORITY: “BREAST CANCER HAS IMPACTED A LOT OF PEOPLE, BUT MY GRANDMA HAS GREAST CANCER AND I KNOW SO MANY SISTERS THAT ALL JUST PERSONALLY KNOW SOMEONE IN THEIR FAMILY WHO HAS IT. IF YOU ASK — EVERYBODY KNOWS SOMONE. THAT’S SUCH A BIG DEAL.” THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY HAS RAISED MORE THAN 59 MILLIONS DOLLARS FOR BREAST CANCER RESERCH.
