Let’s Talk Mammograms

My name is Janna Pinkman. I have been here
for 14 years. I have a registry in radiology and also in mammography,
specifically. When I first started in radiology, doing mammography, 30 years ago
one in thirteen women would get breast cancer. It then went to it is now one in
eight and projected to be one in five in the future. The only thing that we have
to find and protect a woman against breast cancer is to have your screening
mammogram. Come in and see us. Let us do the exam and try to find your breast
cancer at the very earliest stage so you can then have treatment and go on and
live a happy, healthy life with your family. Routine mammography is a very
important part of a woman’s health. Breast cancer rates are continuing to
increase and it’s only through having the screening mammograms that we find
those breast cancers at their earliest stages when they’re treatable and you
can move on with your life and be there for your family. Having a mammogram at
the Pavilion at Olathe Health, you can expect that your technologist is going
to work personally with you. We are there to make the exam as comfortable as we
can with you.
