Lewis and Clark Humane Society offering special holiday adoption fees

and the Lewis and Clark Humane Society is holding a special adoption drive to try to get as many pets as possible into new homes for the holidays now until the end of the year all adoption fees are waived when adopting a cat or a dog if a monetary donation is made to the shelter now people can donate what they can afford or as much as they want to help offset some of the shelter’s costs and costs the shelter $25 to microchip and animal and anywhere from 100 to 500 dollars to spay or neuter a pet dog program coordinator Rebecca Howard says in an ideal world they’d be able to give every animal into a new home this year if we had everybody home for the holidays I mean that’s what’s a better feeling than that is to wake up on Christmas morning and not have to come in and take care of anybody because they’re all in their homes I mean that that’s the best a staff would also like to remind the public that the same adoption and application process will be done for all these animals and it can be an easy mistake to think of a pet as a present when they should be considered in addition to the household forever homes that’s right forever homes
