Maggie Burnette Stogner: “The Greeks: Agamemnon to Alexander the Great”

Most of the artifacts have never been
seen before in the U.S. It spans over 5,000 years of ancient
history. I always say (laughs) you know at the end of the day
the aggregate media that I create for these exhibitions probably is around an
hour. So how do you take 5,000 or 6,000 years
of history and condense it down to that? It’s the haiku of filmmaking. But I have a lot of fun doing that.
So the zones are arranged chronologically beginning with the
Minoan kingdom and ending with Alexander the Great. We wanted to provide
context drawn from the artwork off the artifacts so that we could so that
people could experience the culture as people at that time represented
themselves.
