Medal of Honor recipients speak to high school students

LANDING ON THE COMMON AS PART OF THE CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF-OR SOCIETY IN 2015 CONVENTION, WHICH IS IN THE HUB THIS WEEK. TODAY TWO MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS FLEW TO BOSTON COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL. RETIRED ARMY SPECIALIST GARY AND RETIRED NAVY CAPTAIN SEAN KELLY, A 1956 GRAD, WERE GREETED BY HUNDREDS OF CHEERING STUDENTS BUT IT’S NOT JUST THE ENTRANCE THAT THEY MADE THAT HAS THE IMPACT. IT’S THE SACRIFICE FOR THEIR COUNTRY THAT’S MOST INSPIRING TO THESE YOUNG MEN. TO BE ABLE TO PUT YOURSELF IN HARM’S WAY JUST FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR FELLOW MAN, THAT’S INCREDIBLE. THAT’S SOMETHING WE ALL WANT TO STRIVE FOR. LOYALTY, PATRIOTISM, TEAMWORK, SERVICE BEFORE YOURSELF AND THAT’S BUILT INTO THE CURRICULUM HERE. MY TIME HERE PREPARED ME FOR A LIFE OF DOING THAT.
