Oregon Humane Society takes pets amid hurricane

JEFF: DOZENS OF ANIMALS WHO WERE FORCED FROM SHELTERS BECAUSE OF HURRICANE DORIAN, HAVE ARRIVED IN OREGON. 49 DOGS AND 25 CATS ARE NOW BEING HOUSED AT THE OREGON HUMANE SOCIETY. JENNIFER: THEY WEREN’T IN THE PATH OF THE STORM. INSTEAD, THEY WERE HOUSED IN OKLAHOMA, BUT HAD TO BE MOVED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANIMALS THAT WERE EVACUATED FROM SHELTERS BECAUSE OF THE HURRICANE. WITH THE INFLUX OF DOGS AND CATS, THE HUMANE SOCIETY IS ASKING YOU TO CONSIDER OPENING YOUR HOME TO A NEW PET. THEY ACTUALLY ARRIVED HERE IN OREGON THIS MORNING.
