Pet Of The Week: Beaver County Humane Society

THE WRONG WAY. NONE THE LESS. WE WANT TO GO THE OTHER WAY, NO SNOW IN THE FORECAST WE’RE TALKING ABOUT SNOW THIS MORNING THAT IS BECAUSE THE DOG IN TODAY’S ADOPT ME SEGMENT IS NAMED SNOW, COMES TO US FROM THE BEAVER COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY. GOOD MORNING. GREAT TO BE HERE WITH YOU, THIS IS SNOW, SNOW IS 7 YEARS OLD, OUR SENIOR PET OF THE WEEK. I LOVE YOU WERE SORT OF IN OUR TRACK ROOM IN THIS HALL WAY, SNOW IS JUST SORT OF WATCHING EVERYBODY WALKING, COME AND GO. A LOT OF ACTIVITY, HE IS OUR SENIOR PET OF THE WEEK, THE OWNER BROUGHT HIM IN BECAUSE HE HAD SOME TUMORS ON HIS BACK, SOME OF THE SURGERY MARKS FROM IT AND SHE WANTED TO PUT HIM DOWN. OUR VET STAFF SAID THOSE AREN’T CANCEROUS TUMORS, THE VET TOOK CARE OF THE TUMORS ON THE BACK, WE HAVE HIM, FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF NOW HE IS READY FOR ADOPTION. HOW LONG HAD HE BEEN WITH THAT OWNER. 7 YEARS, I SUPPOSE, HE IS 7 YEARS OLD. HE IS A VERY GOOD DOG HE LOVES PEOPLE. AREN’T THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOUSE. THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE LOOK AT HOW CUTE HE IS. I LOVE THE NAME TOO. A LOT OF PEOPLE PULL AWAY BECAUSE HE IS A PITBULL YOU CAN SEE HOW LOVING HE IS. ISN’T THAT THE TRUTH ABOUT PIT PULLS THEY GET A BAD REP. IN OUR AREA WE GET A LOT OF PITBULL MIXES, IT TRULY DOES MATTER HOW THEY ARE RAISED AND HOW THE OWNER TREATS THEM AS TO HOW THEIR TEMPERAMENT WILL BE, YOU MENTIONED SENIOR DOGS, LOOKING FOR A PUPPY, RIGHT? THAT’S NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST FIT FOR EVERYONE, IT IS NOT. SOMEBODY LIKE SNOW HERE IS HOUSE TRAINED. HE SAID I HEARD MY NAME. HE IS READY WARMING UP TO THE IDEA HE IS ON CAMERA. HE KNOWS IT IS FEEDING TIME HE CAN GIVE YOU HIS PAW, HE KNOWS HE HAS SOME COMMANDS RESPOND TO, PUPPIES COME IN, SENIOR DOGS DO GET PUSHED TO THE BACK. THERE ARE A LOT OF ADVANTAGES TO HAVING A SENIOR DOG. IS IT HARD FOR YOU TO LET GO OF THESE DOGS? I’M SURE YOU BOND WITH A LOT OF THEM, WE HAVE ONE THAT GOT ADOPTED, SHE SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN OUR OFFICE BECAUSE WE SOCIALIZE WITH US SO THEY GET USED TO BEING AROUND PEOPLE, AND SHE FINALLY GOT ADOPTED ON FRIDAY. A BUNCH OF PEOPLE AND STAFF WERE EXCITED. YOU’RE EXCITED TOO. ALL RIGHT. WE THANK YOU, MIKE, FOR BEING WITH US AND BRINGING SNOW, HOPEFULLY WE’LL FIND A HOME FOR SNOW. I CAN’T. FIND OUT MORE ABOUT TODAY’S PET BY CONTACTING THE BEAVER COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY AND KEEP WATCHING FOR MORE STORIES ABOUT ADOPTING OR FOSTERING PETS IN
