Phi Theta Kappa @ AACC

Phi Theta Kappa @ AACC

I want to thank you
all for being here. My name’s Adam. I’m the vice president
for the Omicron Theta chapter of Phi Kappa. I wasn’t really involved
until three semesters ago, when I first got inducted
into Phi Theta Kappa. Phi Theta Kappa’s really
a place for people who strive for academic
success to come together. The way we’ve broken this
up is that the main topic is the Civil War,
but as we progress we’re going to come to
down to more local issues. So for here, with history bias
through Virginia and Maryland, you really see how
about 20 plus people– not including the panel– are really interested and want
to broaden their horizons. You get a sort of connection
with other members that you didn’t really
feel like you would get coming to community college. Phi Theta Kappa
has their website– I think ptk.org? Yes. Go to nest.aacc.edu. You can see every single
student organization and a lineup of all the
events that are available.
