(upbeat music) – [Narrator] Health Talk brought to you by Rapides Regional Medical Center. (upbeat music) Just about everyone is impacted by cancer. It may be you or a loved one, or a friend. That’s why the Rapides Cancer Center holds it’s 4th Annual Colors of Courage 5K and Color Run to raise money for the American Cancer Society. – The Colors of Courage is our annual 5K Run and Walk. Our 4th event will be
held on Friday April 5th at 6 pm. Colors of Courage begins
and ends on the campus of Rapides Regional Medical Center, here at the Rapides Cancer Center. Even if you can’t run or walk, you’re welcome to come out and support. – [Narrator] The name, Colors of Courage, comes from the various forms of cancer and the color associated with them. There are seven coloring station throughout the race route
where volunteers shower willing participants with a colored powder made of food-grade corn starch. – This event gets bigger
and better each year. We average around 250 participants and would love to see that number grow. All the money we raise is donated to the American Cancer Society. In our first three years,
we’ve raised $17,000 for the American Cancer Society which goes towards helping cancer patients in central Louisiana, and to help find a cure for cancer. – [Narrator] Registration
