STATE LAWMAKERS WILL SOON BE CONSIDERING A LAW TO BAN CONVICTED DRUG DEALERS FROM GETTING WELFARE. NEWS 8 MORNING REPORTER ANNE SHANNON IS HERE WITH MORE. JERE AND LORI– STATE REPRESENTATIVE MIKE REGAN IS BEHIND THE PROPOSAL.. AND SAYS THERE ARE MORE DRUG DEALERS ON WELFARE THAN YOU MIGHT THINK. AS A FORMER U-S MARSHAL AND A DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL.. HE SAYS HE’S SEEN WELFARE FRAUD MANY TIMES. REGAN ALSO SAYS IT’S FRUSTRATING TO KNOW THAT WHILE THOSE DRUG DEALERS ARE MAKING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ILLEGALLY– THEY’RE GETTING STATE AND FEDERAL ASSISTANCE THAT SHOULD BE GOING TO OTHERS.REPRESENTATIVE REGAN’S BILL WAS INTRODUCED THIS WEEK..AND HE SAYS HE’S HOPEFUL IT

  1. the welfare state is setup for failure regardless, what about corporate welfare? what about the trillions of dollars that should be in the pockets of these people regardless of what they are dealing? the drug war is and always will be a total failure regardless of who's dealing what and when. it's all just another tactic to grind gears on infrastructure to keep the corporate slave wheel turning and the military/prison industrial complex a well oiled machine, keep everything in turmoil is what I always say.
