ROTAVAC® is a very interesting story because it’s a truly public-private partnership. More than 65 scientists from all over
the world were involved in the project. To develop vaccines for low resource
settings takes partnership, and in this case it was a public-private partnership between Bharat Biotech, the government of India and PATH with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This ROTAVAC® story is actually a perfect illustration of what I think it will take to make
all the biggest changes in the world, which is bringing together public, private,
and social sector players and making big, big commitments to change.
