She Calls Herself a Home Manager

I am a medical doctor And for the past almost 8 years I have not practised Medicine And it seems a bit strange when I meet people and they find
out that I’m a medical doctor they are surprised. And next
thing they ask me where I work and I tell them I work at home… And, you know, I can see
disappointment in their faces And it happened to me several times It was a decision I made
after, just before I had my first son I decided to stay home and take care of him, because
I figured that whatever I’d be doing in the hospital,
someone else can do But what I would do for my children and
in the home, no one else would do for me And all this while I’ve been
home, taking care of them We start having children, and
imagine how wonderful it would be How nice the children will turn out,
and we don’t consider the difficulties and all the things that would come up This is my professional work: I am
at home, taking care of the kids And there is a whole lot. There is
the house work that you have to do and you have to meet the children’s needs,
and having children of different ages… I have 5 children, the first is 8 years old
and the fifth one is just over a year old I have girls and I have
boys and each of them, at each stage in their lives
they have different needs And I find myself having to do a lot of study A lot of research into Child Psychology…
how best to handle them at each stage My greatest challenge has been
my trying to respect them Treat them charitably
and it’s been difficult It’s like having been brought
up in an authoritative manner that old wine skin is there wanting to shout at them,
wanting to spank them which was the way I was raised which is the norm in this environment By the grace of God I am trying my best to be the best mom that I can be. despite all the challenges
