St. Patrick tapped as one of the top 50 private schools in the nation

I am thrilled to share
some news with you today. At this very moment, in Washington DC, the United States Department
of Education has named St. Patrick Catholic High School
a National Blue Ribbon school.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>The National Blue Ribbon Award is awarded to 50 private schools
in the nation each year, and St. Patrick High School is among the top 50
schools in the United States of America. We’re just thrilled to be named a National
Blue Ribbon school today by the U.S. Department of Education, to be among the top 50 private schools
in the nation can see this honor. It’s absolutely exciting and it’s
thrilling and is a testament to the hard work of our faculty and staff and
to the commitment of our students, and to the investment of our parents and
stakeholders here at St. Patrick.>>Take a lot of pride in going to this
school and I feel it’s a really good thing that we’ve been recognized with all
the hard work we’ve done here, and how we embrace a culture of excellence.>>You really get a good education,
they’re involved. They really care about what you need to do
and what you need to learn with tutoring and after school programs and clubs,
and anything that you can do, you can.>>I think the school’s special, making it
one of the top in the country because of the Catholic faith that’s
shared at this school, and the way that our teachers strive
to push us to go as far as we can. We have very good teachers here,
they don’t let us lack at all. So, I think our teachers, our faculty, and the faith that’s in the school is
what has got us to this point.>>Here at St. Patrick, our mission is to
educate scholars, train disciples, and support champions. We have 100% graduation rate and
100% of our students go on to college. So from the academic standpoint, we
just really strive to make sure that our students are most prepared
when they leave here. And to get as much scholarship
money as they’re able to. And then the heart of who we are and
what we do is training disciples, so we have an intentional focus on
training missionary disciples and making sure that our students are willing
and able to go out into the world and make a difference in the lives
of those that they are serving. [BLANK_AUDIO]
