  1. Any position that does not reject ALL big, private money in our politics is a pointless distraction.
    As for Citizens United, the Gilens-Page study out of Princeton and Northwestern showed incontrovertibly (as if anyone needed additional evidence) that everyday people's opinions and wishes have had zero say in our politics and on the legislation that gets passed for at least 15 years prior to the Citizens United decision. References to it are typically red herrings. Our politics was lost to us well before it.

    Put another way, does anyone think our politics wasn't already hopelessly broken by 2010, the year Citizens United occurred?
